Forums: Please report abuse Friday 23 October 2009 Help in time of needOn October 7-9, 2009, the Philippine Faith Mission, Inc. ( PFM) and Mission Links and Partnership, Inc. (MLPI) joined forces to distribute relief funds for the flood victims of typhoon "Ketsana (Ondoy)". The Barnabas Fund channeled its relief fund through PFM for proper administration and distribution. The relief were given to church leaders in cash to facilitate purchase and distribution of goods. Every churches we went have members who experienced the typhoon have different needs other than food. Some n eeded medical assistance while some lost their cooking and eating utensils, some clothes and proper bed to sleep. When we gave the assistanceto one of the church benificiaries of the relief operation, they were overwhelmed with joy! They said they were expecting to receive only several plastic bags containing rice, noodles and a couple of sardines. Apparently, God provided funds to buy for a sack (50kgs) of rice instead of a small plastic bag, more than a couple of sardines, coffee, sugar and milk for each family. One of the letters from the church said (In Tagalog) "You have given our members the opportunity to also share with others the relief goods that they received. It’s true that we are the talk of the community because of your overwhelming assistance because we have never seen a relief this tightly packed and overflowing". PRAISE GOD FOR HIS PROVISIONS!
